The Old Drove

13th December 2009

Well we came we saw......spent about an hour. Every tree was frisked and checked both at GZ and more wider area....no joy. Even looked in the ridculous, couldn't be there could it? spots. Still no joy. Tried marking one spot and approaching from the road. Nope no joy.
Sorry, but cold and had to admit defeat.

Decided that we would have a go at finding this elusive cache, practically on our doorstep, but have been too busy with life to get out there!! Well we looked and looked, and then Mrs S stood at GZ with Bob, and directed Mr S to rummage in the leaf litter.....and yes there it was and a FTF too

That's Entertainment!

Mr S out for this one (rest of us in the car)......back he came...needed more batteries. Back to GZ and the owner crept up and said that he was very close. A little more of a rummage and the cache revealed itself!! A quick chat and he returned to the car, and quick to tell the tale of this fantastic cache. Very Entertaining

FTF

We decided that we would have Chinese for dinner, and we planned to go to our favourite in Polegate. Knowing that this cache was still not found, we were rude not to venture into Hailsham for a spot of night caching (well in the dark). Mr S and Master S Snr out for the hunt, and with torch in hand the cache was soon found. Cache opened and a blank log book inside . Glad we did this under cover of darkness

Now about that Chinese........
